My name is Chris Cannavo and I have been animating professionally for a long time. I have worked on various projects in film, video games, television, music videos, and commercials throughout my career. I have animated characters, animals, vehicles, objects, and cameras through hand-keyed, mocap, and rotomation animation techniques.
SKILLS
- 3D animator for characters, animals, vehicles, cameras, and objects for film, television, video games, or across any project needed.
- Proficient in Maya, 3DS Max, Syntheyes, and Photoshop.
- Working knowledge of Unreal Engine, Unity, ZBrush, Premiere and Nuke.
- Good working practices, naming conventions, scene/ rig organization, task management.
- Experience with motion capture from additive/ enhancement animation, clean up, recording, direction, and even acting.
- Works well with teams and can communicate with different departments.
- Can lead a team and give tasks to keep the project running according to schedule.
- Excel at creative problem solving if there are technical issues or a shot requires a creative approach to get finished.
- Used to collaborating directly with vfx supervisors, directors, and show runners as well as taking notes for the team during the process.

- Set up, animate, and put together previs shots from Maya to Unreal and then comped in After Effects
- Setting up multiple versions of each shot to show options for shot action and composition.
- Setting up Unreal scenes and shots for render. Often requiring fx, lighting changes, and creative problem solving.
